A Change of Focus

So it probably sounds like I've been complaining a lot lately. I promise I'm not this negative all the time! It has been hard with the move, being sick, and my computer crash, and I notice a lot of my posts over the past two weeks have started with some sort of negative thought.

I'm going to try and change that today. Today, I will post about 5 things I'm grateful for, despite all the nasty and inconvenient things I've had lately. After all, life is always hard, but it's about how you look at it.
5 Things I'm Grateful For Right Now:

1. Family- My family is great. I don't think I could have done this without their help and support. In a time when everything (and I do mean everything) is changing in my life they are my one support.

2. Pets- My two cats to be specific. Nothing relieves a little bit of stress like a purring kitty curled up on the foot of your bed.

3. Books- Talk about escapist behavior! I don't have to focus on my own problems when I can read about someone else's. :-)

4. Internet- I probably depend too much on the internet. I'll be the first to admit that I'm wayyyyyyy to addicted to checking my email. But even though my internet is only working part of the time, at least I have it when it does work!

5. Good health- Despite a few sniffles here and there, and some allergy woes, I am in fairly good health. I don't have cancer or a tumor, and I'm doing much better than my brother, who has a broken toe.

See? I feel better already. So what are you thankful for this week?

Good for you! Was worried about you for a bit ...and that's an always easy question with the same answer for me...good health and my family! Have a HAPPY weekend!

I'm definitely thankful for my health, although I've currently got a headache, my family, and my pets. What kind of cats do you have?

Melanie- I've got two male cats. One is about 15 years old (and super grumpy) and the other is about 5 years old. The younger one is a siamese mix, and he is BIG! He can open door knobs with his paws. The other cat was my first pet, and he's a grey and white shorthair. They're both my babies, since I don't have kids. :-)

I'm glad you feel better!!

I know I'm thankful for my kitty and doggies. The unconditional love they give is such a mood-altering thing. I can be totally upset and have my cat come look to me for some attention and I'll just melt and smile at him =D

And books...I don't know what I'd do without them. My other half and I broke up about 2 months ago and I'm slowly learning to let go. Books have really helped me from totally falling apart.

&& I'm such an internet junkie myself. I honestly should be reading a book for review right now but I need to catch up on my feeds lol
