12 Day of Christmas Giveaway-A-Day Roundup (and some hints!)

Here for your convenience, is a link to all 12 contests for the 2010 Giveaway-A-Day. These contests are all open internationally, and will remain open for two more days until 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on December 19th.

For your greatest chance to win, enter as many of these as you can. Remember, even if you don't like the prize for that particular day, you will have a chance to trade it in for a different mystery prize later. So the more you enter, the greater your chances.

Also remember that you have 2 wild cards to use if you don't know the answer for a particular day. If anyone wants to know how many wild cards they have left to use, or if you want to change a wild card to a guess, email me at shadygladeATmailDOTcom and let me know.

And since I know a few of these were harder than others, I'm going to give you a little hint. The least three entered contests were Day 7, Day 9, and Day 11. I have two clues, each of which apply to two of the three contests. It's up to you to figure out which clues apply to which contests and guess the title from there. To make it fair to those of you who guessed right before the clues, anyone who's guess was correct and entered before now is getting an extra +1 entry for those three days.

Clue 1: Two of the above mentioned contests have "Princess" in the title.
Clue 2: Two of the above mentioned contests are fairy-tale retellings.

And as a general clue, all 12 covers picked for these contests are related to the blog in some way. How they are related is up to you to figure out. :)

Contest Heads Up

Today in the blogosphere is the 24-hour-read-a-thon where participants try to spend as many hours as possible reading in a 24 hour period. And while I can't participate this year (I have to work), there are a lot of cool things going on today to celebrate.

Contest Roundup: March 1

Hey everyone! It's Monday, and you know what that means *insert trumpet fanfare here* It's time for the weekly Contest Roundup!

We've got some great books coming up in March, one of which is Hex Hall. The author is celebrating the release of her first book by hosting a contest for the book (and some t-shirts) at her blog. How cool! I'm really, really, really excited for this one, and I can't wait to read it.


Another book I've been eagerly anticipating for release this month is Brightly Woven. And it's almost here! Alexandra Bracken is also having a contest to celebrate her release date, so check this one out as well.


In Which a Girl Reads has reached 400 followers and is celebrating with an international giveaway for a book of your choice. Congrats on the followers! Ends March 6th, so hurry and enter!



There's another great contest going on at Fantastic Book Reivew, this time for an ARC of Forget-Her-Nots. This is another release I'm eagerly anticipating. :) Ends March 11th.


And speaking of followers, Bloody Bookaholic has reached 700 followers and is having a massive contest to celebrate. She's giving away 20 books (maybe more) including Jekyl Loves Hyde, Hearts at Stake, Harry Potter, and more. Don't want to miss this one. Ends April 18th.

Dark Faerie Tales is having another huge contest, this time to celebrate 500 followers. The winner will pick from a long list of books including The Body Finder, The Line, Voices of Dragons and more. Ends March 21st.

So you know how Saturday I said I was absolutely going to do a contest roundup on Monday? Yeah, obviously that didn't happen. I won't go into details, but it involved a long call to the internet company. Ugh. Oh well, the best laid plans often go awry...

Got a shorter round up for you today, partly because the contests seem to be slowing down a bit right now, and party because I'm so tired from working on my Best Books Roundup. So there you go.


I still haven't chosen a book for January's comment contest yet, so at this point that's still a mystery prize. And I've decided I'm officially closing the Design a Button contest on Jan 15th. So you have until then to enter if you haven't already!
