Book Blogger Appreciation Week: Interview Swap

So I've got another interview for you today, but it's a little different. As part of Book Blogger Appreciation Week, I signed up to do an interview swap to get to know a new blogger. So today I'm interviewing Catt from The Dreamer Reader, and she'll be posting an interview about me over on her blog. So without further delay, here's the interview, with my questions in bold.

So let’s get the traditional-type stuff over first. Start by telling us about yourself. What’s do you want people to know about you when they visit your blog?

Um, my name is Catt and I'm a blogger (I know, SO interesting).

How long have you been blogging?

I've been blogging since early March. So, I've been blogging for 7 months now. I still can't believe I've been blogging that long, it seemed much shorter.

What made you want to start blogging in the first place?

I don't really remember, to tell you the truth (I have a horrible memory). I think it was because I saw other people's sites and me being the arrogant little girl that I am, I was like, "Pshh, I can totally do that." And so I created a blog over at livejournal. AND I REALLY SUCKED. No exaggeration. So, (being the easily discouraged girl that I am) I quit. Then... for some reason, I a thought hit me, "I should try again." And I am SO happy I did! I have met some really awesome people, authors and bloggers, either in person and online and let me tell you... they are the worthy of every good adjective in the dictionary. So... here I am now, boring the heck out of you guys.

How did you come up with the title The Dreamer Reader?

I am a huge day dreamer (just look at my math grade) and I'm a huge reader. And in a rare moment of creativity, I put those two words together and got The Dreamer Reader.

What’s your favorite thing about blogging?

I love meeting new people. And meeting authors and talking to them. Mostly on Twitter though... IT IS ADDICTIVE. Oh! And reading comments or the occasional, "Ooh, cool blog." That just makes my day! I just wanna hug them and be like, "I can't believe you read my blog, I love you!" But I can't. Well, I could but I'd get something called... what's that word? Detaining hoarder? Training loiter? Oh! I remember now! Arrest warrant.

Haha! I feel the same way about comments. Any favorite authors?

Are you tying to cause my brain to melt out of my ears?!? That is such a hard question and I can't think of anything witty to say back. Hmm, I do have a special place in my author adoring pedestal for the 2009 Debs and the 10ers! I mean, how awesome are they? And not just them, I love all debut authors. I love everyone (but not in that way)!

Favorite book you’ve read in the last month?

Oooh, that's a hard one. I've read a lot of good books, but the first one that comes to mind is Break by Hannah Mostowitz. A book about a kid wanting to break his bones (then actually doing it) might cause a few people to go "WTF?", but I swear, it is a FANTASTIC book!

And now for some random questions. What’s your favorite food of all time?

I'll eat anything. Just as long as I don't die from it.

Yeah, dying would put a damper on any meal. Have you ever done something unusual for a book release?

This was during my Twilight Hysteria Mania phase, but I went to the midnight release party of Breaking Dawn and then I read it non stop for 8 hours straight... with NO coffee. I know, you are AMAZED.

I am amazed. I don't think I could have held out that long without sleep. What’s the most random fact you can think of about yourself?

In fifth grade, I dressed up as a cat and ran for secretary of my school. I even meowed at the end which was pretty embarrassing at the time. But it paid off since I won... finally.

Well... at least you won right? If you were an animal, what would it be?

Hmm... I think maybe a llama. Llamas are awesome. I mean, I someone pisses me off, I could just spit in their faces. =D

Llamas are cool. Have you heard the llama song? If not go YouTube it. It's pretty awesome. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done to your hair?

One time, I had to dress up as a hobo for my friend's birthday party. So, I got a brush and just frizzed up my hair until it a huge fluff ball. Then it took me an hour to untangle it! AND IT REALLY HURT. Yeah... not one of my smartest moments xD

Thank so much for stopping by Catt! You can see more BBAW interview swaps here, and make sure you visit Catt at her home, The Dreamer Reader!
